Workshops:

Make Energy Work for you. (Nora).  Learn about the aura, meridians, and chakras through which flows our life force energy.  Learn a technique to clear and balance the energy field of friends, family, pets as well as plants. All disease, whether physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual is caused by a disruption in our energy field.  This workshop will give you a good foundation and understanding of energy and how to make it work for you.

Empower Your Confidence (Meranda).  In this workshop you will learn how to clear your Self Criticalness, Chronic Mistrust, Self judgement, and Self hatred.  You will learn how to decrease your need to act out false personality traits.  You will learn to build trust and love the person you truly are.

Therapy is A Walk in the Woods (Alison). If you long to feel happier and more peaceful and love Nature, join Alison, a certified Forest Therapy Guide, for a walk along the Exploits River. We will wander, explore, and immerse ourselves in nature for 2-l/2 hours, allowing our senses to guide us. Forest Therapy is a mindful, healing, and connective practice inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-Yoku” which translates into “forest bathing”. Spending time in nature strengthens our immune system, reduces stress, and can make us more creative, mindful, and content in our lives.  Forest therapy walks are for anyone who wants to de-stress, relax and rejuvenate mind, body, and spirit. We will be outside no matter the weather, so come prepared with warm and water-resistant clothing.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) (Nora). EFT uses the body’s own energy system by “tapping” on the meridians or energy pathways to remove blocked or stuck energy.  This technique enables healing to occur. EFT can address issues such as fears, addictions, emotional trauma, depression, physical and other issues.

Healing with Nature’s Medicine (Alison).  Are you ready to explore the healing medicine of wild plants that can be found close to where you live? Our grandparents foraged native wild plants for food and medicine. Now many of us are feeling the call to return to these traditional ways and wisdom so we can feel better and live healthier lives. Such a calling began Alison’s journey into ancestral ways that led her back to the place of her birth, and to create the Boreal Forest Elixirs.  This session will cover the basics of plant spirit medicine, foraging and preparation of wild plants for use as food and medicine.

Body/Mind Healing Session (Marie). “the great challenge is finding ways to reset our physiology, so that our survival mechanisms stop working against us.” Bessel A. van der Kolk, The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind, and Body in the Healing of Trauma.

When we have experienced trauma and pain, the experiences are stored in the body.  When we seek healing, we need to seek it in body and mind.  In this session, we will use Yamuna Body Rolling (YBR) to activate the healing processes of our body.  In this practice we use soft balls to realign the body and joints, to release the tension of the body and make space through gentle self-massage.  As well, through meditation and sharing we can deepen our experience and empower participants to continue their releasing and healing.  Participants are asked to bring their own mat, to dress in yoga pants and snug top (this will help when using the balls). If you are not able to get on the floor routines will be adjusted for chair or standing.   A ball will be provided.

Removing Regret (Meranda).   Holding unconscious regrets can debilitate your life and sabotage all positive intentions.  Clear these regrets and find new passion.  Spark renewed and authentic relationships with others.  This workshop will help you to use the past to remove regret and empower your future.

Healing Resources and Strengthening Our Relationship with Ourselves (Marie).  We will use Visualization and a Self-Soothing Body/Mind technique.  We will access the resources we have used in our lives to allow us to survive and thrive; here we will be making them more conscious and accessible.  We will also create resources that we can build on to strengthen our psychological well-being.   The basis of this workshop will be EMDR.  Which is short for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing; it is an interactive psychotherapy technique that enables people to heal from distress and/or set up positive, healthy pathways by accessing their belief, emotions, images, and body awareness.
